Mission Of Spiritual Axioms

Welcome to “Spiritual Axioms.”  I have tagged this blog as “Evangelism for a broken world.”  I will flesh out just what that means and how I arrived at the choice for the blog’s title a little later on.  Right now I would just like to welcome you to this miniscule dot in cyberspace that will hopefully be a positive influence to those who visit.  I have one primary goal in starting and maintaining this blog.  My goal is to help lead just one lost soul to salvation through Jesus Christ.  That’s it.

My aim is not to create controversy.  I guarantee you that there will be posts and links here that not all Christians will agree are perfectly sound doctrine.  There will be posts and links that may seem to contradict theology from an apologetics standpoint.  I have never attended Seminary, I am not an elder in a church, and I don’t pretend to have even an infinitesimal understanding of The Bible, although I read it daily and have read through it from Genesis to Revelation several times in my life. As a matter of fact, even though I attend church regularly, I am not a member of any church.

I will share my testimony fully in a later post, but for now let me just say that I am a simple man, who loves God, has had an encounter with the living Jesus, and consider myself to be a non-denominational Christian man. Far from perfect, but forgiven.

Again, the focus of this blog is to lead someone to a true and meaningful relationship with Jesus Christ. If the posts and the links on these pages can bring that blessed event about, then I will consider the entirety of this effort, and indeed, my life, worthwhile.

In Luke’s Gospel, Jesus revealed the moral of the parable of the lost coin with this beautiful promise of heavenly celebration:

“In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” – Luke 15:10 NIV

If I had to choose one line of scripture, one quote from Jesus to summarize the mission of this blog, that would be it.

I sincerely hope and pray that if you are already a believer, you will find something of value here to enlarge your faith.  If you have fallen and are having trouble finding your way back home, I pray that you will find something in these pages that will serve as a beacon to return you to the loving arms of God.  If you are an agnostic or non-believer, I pray that you are moved in some way by this blog to ask Jesus into your life –  that all of your doubts will be smashed by the truth that is the embodiment of the cross.

If your mind has been messed up by religion, ritual, or some sectarian dogma, I pray that you will find a respite from all of that here.

And finally, to those of you who consider yourself to be atheistic, I will demonstrate to you that atheism is a fraudulent device that is used to describe  a state of mind or thought process, but in no way represents a belief that there is no God.  For to believe that there is no God, one must have faith that there is no God.  And faith is the driving spiritual element of a true relationship with God.

Thank you for visiting.  I hope that you will return soon.  God bless you!
